Many people around the world visit the doctor only if they feel sick. But, regular medical checkups are really important especially as we age. Disease prevention or catching an illness early on is always better than later. Test your health at home is super quick and easy
Here is the list of 7 ways to test your health at home:
1.Press the root of your nails
Take your left hand and press the root of your fingernails using your thump. Hold you thump on each nail between 3-5 seconds. Applying pressure on your nails should not hurt too much nor should it turn purple after you release pressure.
Natural medicine suggests the following potential issues with your body if you fail this test on any of your fingernails:
Thumb- if your thumb pressure was painful and your nail turned blue or purple, you might have a lung problem
Finger- the index finger is related to the large intestine and the feeling of pain may indicate intestinal problems and constipation
Middle finger- pain in the middle finger maybe a sign of heart problems
Ring finger: ring finger pain is also related to the heart and may be a sign of heart problems
Little finger: pain in the little finger may indicate problems in the small intestine.
2. Fist your hand
For this experiment, make a fist on both hands and hold this position for 30 seconds. When you first open your fists, your palms will be white. The key is to see blood flowing back your hands immediately as your palms return to their normal skin color.
If blood flow returns to your hand’s immodesty after you open your fists, it means that the blood vessels are working properly and you are healthy. If it takes longer for you to see blood flow, you may have issues with your blood vessels.
3. Touch your feet with your fingertips
Sit up straight on the floor with your legs in front of you. Then, reach to your feet with your hands and hold for 30 seconds. If you are able to do this, your joints are healthy. If you can’t do it, you really need to get some help to strengthen your joint stiffness. Yoga for beginners might be a great start for you
4. Put your fingers in water
Put your fingers in cold water for 30 seconds. If your fingers turn white or blue, you may have circulatory problems.
6. Nasal Breathing
To see if your respiratory system is functioning normally, light up a match and hold it in front of you (make sure you don’t burn yourself). Breath normally through your nose and exhale through the mouth to extinguish the match. If you have tried multiple times without success, then you may have a weak respiratory system.
7. Pulse rate
To find out if you have high blood pressure:
Relax for 5 minutes. Then, place the index and middle finger of your other hand inside your wrist (at the base of your thumb).
Count the number of beats you feel for 1 minute.
If you get 60 to 100 beats per minute, it’s normal. More or less pulse indicates problems with your blood pressure.
